Goodprint for business cards

Ordered my business cards not to long ago, and I wasn't to sure on the best place to source them. I really didn't have time to go to the local printers and describe what I wanted and supply them with the correct artwork and so on.

I decided to find a provider online, and after a quick search and look around, I decided on Goodprint as I really liked a handyman business card template they had on their site.

Before I buy from any website, I like to check out its reputation. So I did a few google searches for goodprint feedback, goodprint customer reviews, goodprint feedback and so on and I found Goodprint on Trustpilot. Trust pilot are a third party review site offering unbiased and qualified reviews from Goodprint customers, so it paints a pretty clear picture of what people think of a companies service.

Goodprint scored a great 9 out of 10 when I looked, which convinced me to buy. My mate had advised me to go with Vistaprint, but im glad I didnt now!

Handyman or odd job man?

Essentially I guess both are the same thing, but ive found it interesting that some people refer to me as a handyman or an odd job man. Id always thought handyman was a bit more of a an american term, but thats only because I have always used the term odd job man.

Looking at searches on my website, most people use the term handyman to find me, so I guess thats how I should describe myself!

Local handyman in St Albans

Had some fantastic news today, all my effort in improving my websites ranking for handyman services in Harpenden has paid off! Im now ranking 7th for "handyman Harpenden", so im very pleased with that! The next area im really keen on ranking well for is St Albans. It has a large population of lovely, middle class people with more money than time that need some handyman help!

I just checked my "handyman st albans" rankings and im ranking 13th, so id really like to tip my website over the edge and get on the first page for st albans related handyman terms.

One thing I've noticed as well is that I manage to rank well for keywords like "handyman St Albans", but not so well for keywords like "handyman in St Albans"? I had thought that google was a bit more intelligent that that!

Anyway if you've found this page and are looking for professional handyman services in st albans or just a local odd job man in st albans than please contact me and id be very pleased to help you out anyway that I can.

Handyman service targeting Harpenden

Watch out harpenden there is a new handyman service coming! After my success with Dunstable and Luton on the google search engine results, ive decided to set my sites on a affluent area as well. I reckon there would be alot of demand for a handyman in harpenden as these rich sorts have have better things to do than odd jobs round the house, and also have the money to be able to afford it!

Luton handyman rankings :o)

Very happy that ive finally got a spot on the first page for handyman luton. Not yet managed to make it into the top pack of the local listings, but I hope in time I manage to get it there.

Being in the top pack of Google places rankings is key for local business success these days in my opinion.

Handyman business cards

Ive ordered my handyman cards from goodprint.co.uk. Their site was really easy to use and the order was placed in no time. The site has alot of great templates to choose from and you can customize all the text online.

The cards came in the post a few days later, and are great quality. Im really pleased! Goodprint business cards are alot better quality than the Vistaprint business cards that I had paid for in the past.

Heres an image of my handyman business cards, great logo huh? Hopefully they will aid me in getting more work as a handyman.

My luton handyman advertisting

Think ive got Dunstable google rankings nailed, ive managed to get top spot on the local listings page for the area, which is great.

Need to work on getting listed for a larger city though, as its likely to generate more search from the greater population, which means more work! Because my postcode is LU6 3NZ, and thats Luton, im gonna first target Luton for my SEO work. Ill likely to follow that up with St Albans, Harpenden, Hemel Hempstead etc.

So im gonna focus on promoting myself with the keyword handyman luton. Google still hasnt indexed all my site, and time is gonna prove the key to improving my rankings as ive done quite alot of SEO work already.

Definition of a handyman

A handyman is a jack of many trades and has to broaden his horizons to include any job that a client can dream up. For example just recently I was asked to fit a cat flap for a customer! The variation in work is part of what I love about being a handyman in Dunstable, every day produces a new challenge for me to overcome.

Found this good article on Wikipedia, which sums up a handyman pretty well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Handyman

Finding a good Handyman

Finding a quality handyman is tricky when you’re a homeowner. Typically you're short on time with alot of tasks around the house that need to be done. Good handymen offer a variety of handyman services and can help you out with a lot of the smaller jobs where you need specialist tools or skills. Unfortunately, sourcing a reliable and quality handyman isn’t always as easy as it should be. For that reason we’ve put together a list of tips to find you a good handyman where you live.

Source your handyman

Ask your trusted friends, neighbours and family for a handyman referral. If your struggling to find a good referral then its time to look online and find a handyman you like the look of and has good reviews and testimonials.

Screen and qualify the handyman

Google your handyman and look out for reviews and complaints from past clients. Eliminate any handyman which has multiple bad reviews online, the chances are you will be disappointed as well. You can find reliable reviews and feedback on sites like Yelp.com, InsiderPages.com and Google places.

Get in touch with the handyman

Give the handyman a call and talk over your job. Ask about their specific experience in relation to the job, and how they might tackle it. Trust your instinct and follow your heart and if they say anything that rings an alarm bell, look for another handyman.

Ask for and contact references

Most handyman will be happy to provide contact details from previous clients that you can call and ask about the quality and reliability of a handyman service. Checking references is a powerful tool to ensure you get a good quality handyman.

Check for insurance

When a handyman is working in and around your home, make sure that they have some form of liability insurance in case of an accident. We all have accidents and expect handymen to be no different. Who pays for the damage when an accident occurs in your home? If the handyman has liability insurance, the insurance company should take care of it. Avoid awkward situations by making sure the handyman you hire has insurance.

How does he charge?

Some handyman charge per hour and some per job and add on the cost of any expenses later on. Make sure you avoid surprises by asking for a quote for the complete finished job upfront.

The average person can truly benefit by finding a quality handyman in their local area to help them out with projects around their home. As you can see, learning how to find a good handyman is not the problem. It’s the execution of the process that prevents most people from finding a quality handyman. Unfortunately these homeowners are the same that end up getting stuck with a low quality handyman or end up paying over the odds and then complain to anybody who will listen. Consider the advice above and you should find a good handyman in next to no time!
